institutions to improve the business climate in Honduras and promote foreign direct investment and exports.

National Competitiveness Program - Honduras Compite
The National Competitiveness Program (Honduras
Competes) works to improve the country’s business
climate, attract investment and promote exports
with the goal of offering small, medium and large
businesses the support they need to compete in the
domestic and international markets.
In other words, Honduras Competes is designed to
provide Hondurans with the opportunities for employment and advancement
necessary to make Honduras a viable actor in the globalized economy.
The authority responsible for Honduras Competes
is the National Competitiveness Commission, which
includes representatives of the business, government
and labor sectors.
The technical secretariat is FIDE, Investments and
Exports, a private, non-profit institution with
20 years of experience promoting competitiveness
in Honduras.
